A festival for the whole family with food as its focus…..sounds yummy doesn’t it?
Sometimes great entertainment is paired with not so great food. Luckily the festival food dilemma has been changed forever with 'Harvest at Jimmy’s'. A fantastic weekend long festival brought to you and your family by Jimmy Doherty owner of Jimmy’s Farm in Ipswich.
From the 9th - 12th September Jimmy’s Farm in Suffolk will be transformed into a musical and gastronomic extravaganza. Featuring a whole host of Britain’s most popular chefs, there will be pop up restaurants, farmer’s markets, British Street Food and master classes to tempt you and perhaps provide some inspiration to replace egg and chips on a Monday night.
You might think with all the yummy delights and fantastic music to enjoy (The Kooks and Eliza Doolittle are head lining this year) that this festival is really one left to the adults. This is definitely not the case. Harvest at Jimmy’s is the perfect venue for the whole family to relax and enjoy together.
With limited spaces available and tickets highly sought after this is one event to start getting prepared for. The limited numbers are a bonus as it means that the festival is never overcrowded and cramped and creates a much more enjoyable atmosphere for those lucky enough to have snapped up their tickets early!
Highlights of this year’s lineup for the smaller members of the family are the Gruffalo and his wild, imaginative and magical musical, Mr. Tumble will be performing live on Sunday, two inspirational and very green fingered gardeners share their growing skills, rockaoke, DanceEast, Suffolk Wildlife Trust with bugs and butterflies galore, farm animals, den building and of course a Food Safari!
There are fantastic camping facilities with plenty space for everyone and showers and toilets to keep your happy campers clean. You can pitch your own tent for the family or treat them to the “Harvest Hotel” a range of boutique camping options from “Belle” tents, Yurtels and Hummingbird tipis. Whatever option you choose (after a full day of music, fun and food) snuggling up under the stars sounds like the perfect way to end an unforgettable family outing.
