As parents, we know that finding products that achieve the desired result without being full of lots of nasties isn’t always easy!
One mum was so frustrated by the hunt for affordable, effective and perhaps most importantly natural skincare products for kids that she decided to do something about it. Fiona Wood has two beautiful boys that she has always endeavoured to use natural products on. From an attack of winter sniffles to the unbearable itch of eczema Fiona has, like most mums, experienced an array of childhood complaints and ailments.
“Like many parents, I’ve always used natural products on my children’s skin, but when summer came, there were few alternatives to chemical-laden sunscreens; and in winter I had to compromise my son’s natural skincare for cold protection containing petroleum and other additives that have been linked to Carcinogens, and which I absolutely wanted to avoid!”
Fiona continued her search but at the same time she started to consider creating a children’s skin care range for herself. Her big break came in the winning of the Barclays Take One Small Step – a national campaign which aims to help entrepreneurs get new ideas started.
